Welcome to Better Build! By accessing or using our platform, you agree to comply with the following Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please refrain from using our services.

1. Definitions

  • “Platform” refers to Better Build, including our website, mobile applications, and services.
  • “User” refers to anyone using the platform, including buyers, sellers, renters, contractors, and suppliers.
  • “Vendor” refers to businesses or individuals listing products or services for sale or rent.
  • “Buyer” refers to users purchasing products or services from vendors.
  • “We,” “Us,” “Our” refers to Better Build and its operators.

2. Eligibility

  • Users must be at least 18 years old to register and transact on the platform.
  • Vendors must provide accurate business registration details (if applicable).
  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts for violations of these terms.

3. Account Registration & Verification

  • Users must provide accurate personal or business information during registration.
  • An email verification is required to activate an account.
  • Vendors may need to provide additional business verification before listing products.
  • Users are responsible for maintaining account security (e.g., safeguarding passwords).

4. Product Listings & Vendor Obligations

Vendors must ensure that:

  • Product descriptions and images are accurate and not misleading.
  • Prices are clearly stated, including applicable taxes and fees.
  • Stock levels are updated regularly to avoid unfulfilled orders.
  • Only legal and safe products are listed (e.g., no counterfeit or hazardous items).

Better Build reserves the right to remove or suspend listings that violate these rules.

5. Transactions & Payments

  • All transactions must be completed through the Better Build platform to ensure security and accountability.
  • Buyers agree to make full payment before receiving goods or services.
  • Vendors will receive payment after successful transaction completion, minus platform commission fees.
  • Payment methods include mobile money, bank transfer, and card payments.
  • Better Build is not responsible for disputes between buyers and sellers but may mediate in certain cases.
  1. Shipping, Delivery & Pickup
  • Vendors must clearly state delivery options, timelines, and costs.
  • Buyers are responsible for providing accurate shipping or pickup details.
  • Vendors must notify buyers promptly of any delivery delays.
  • Certain heavy or specialized items may require special delivery arrangements.

Better Build is not responsible for lost or damaged goods during transit unless the platform handles logistics.

7. Returns, Refunds & Disputes

  • Vendors must specify their return and refund policies before listing products.
  • Buyers may request a refund if the product is defective, damaged, or misrepresented.
  • Refund requests must be submitted within [X] days of delivery with valid proof.
  • Disputes should first be resolved between the buyer and vendor before escalating to Better Build for mediation.

8. Rental Services & Equipment Security

For rental listings (e.g., construction equipment, scaffolding, tools):

  • Renters must provide valid identification and security deposits (if required).
  • Vendors must ensure equipment is in working condition before renting.
  • Renters are liable for damage or loss during the rental period.
  • Better Build may restrict unverified users from renting certain high-value items.

9. Prohibited Activities

Users may NOT:

  • Use the platform for fraudulent, illegal, or deceptive activities.
  • Post false, misleading, or incomplete product information.
  • Circumvent platform transactions to avoid fees or commissions.
  • Engage in harassment, abuse, or spamming of other users.
  • Upload content that infringes on copyrights, trademarks, or other intellectual property.

We reserve the right to suspend or ban violators without prior notice.

10. Privacy & Data Protection

  • User data is collected, stored, and processed according to our Privacy Policy.
  • Personal data may be shared with payment providers, logistics partners, and regulatory authorities as required.
  • Users have rights to access, modify, or delete their data by contacting us.

11. Liability & Disclaimers

  • Better Build acts as a marketplace facilitator and does not directly sell products.
  • We are not liable for the quality, safety, or legality of vendor products.
  • Users agree to use the platform at their own risk.
  • We are not responsible for financial losses due to fraudulent vendors, product defects, or delivery issues.
  • Better Build may suspend or terminate services at any time without liability.

12. Intellectual Property Rights

  • All content (logos, text, images, software) on the Better Build platform is owned or licensed by us.
  • Users may not copy, modify, or distribute platform content without permission.
  • Vendors retain rights to their product images and descriptions but grant Better Build a license to display them.

13. Termination of Accounts

  • Users may delete their accounts at any time.
  • Better Build may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
  • Outstanding balances (fees, payments, or disputes) must be settled before termination.

14. Amendments & Updates

  • These terms may be updated periodically.
  • Users will be notified of major changes.
  • Continued use of the platform implies acceptance of revised terms.

15. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

  • These terms are governed by the laws of Ghana and applicable West African regulations.
  • Any disputes should first be resolved through negotiation.
  • If unresolved, disputes may be referred to arbitration or legal proceedings in Ghanaian courts.
